Yes, I’m talking about Vera Bradley bags, which look like “a garden threw up.” (Wish I could claim credit for that one.)
I know that it’s a common occurrence to have gotten the handbags before they were trendy, but even so, I have to admit, I don’t understand the appeal. I think of Vera Bradley as being a colorful bag for books, notebooks and a college girl’s life. However, heaven forbid it should rain and the cotton quilted bag is seriously competing with Bounty paper towels. It’s the quicker-picker upper for sure.
I tend to carry a leather bag or a common tote like this really cute Toca tote on Amazon…
Even though the bags aren’t for me, I’ve found a similar style on the cheap.
Vera Bradley bags can be anywhere from $40 to $90 and you always run the risk of walking into the family reunion with the same bag as Grandma.

Thanks for your comments Natalie, I think a lot of females may not realize that there are other fashion choices and that’s how we all end up owning the same things. Being trendy doesn’t have to mean wearing expensive stuff though. Save your money for books and late-night pizza.
